Colt reintroduced these great semi-automatic pistols to honor the famous 1911 as government issued during World War I. Long smooth trigger, checkered spurred hammer, checkered slide release, magazine release, smooth flat mainspring housing. Half moon front sight, u notch flat top rear sight. Finished in Colt Carbonia blue with truncated diamond checkered walnut grips. Left side of frame marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" with Gilbert inspector stamp between trigger guard and grip. Correct military sub-inspection stamps in appropriate places. Gun come complete with pasteboard boxes that closely replicates the GI issued boxes, along with 2 piece blue Colt box, paperwork, tools, shipping sleeves and extra magazine. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the Colt factory finish with extremely minor marks from handling and storage. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. EW
