Japanese WWII 15x80 Naval binoculars with the correct tripod. Binoculars retain 85-90% of their original World War II olive paint and are marked "AKATIH, Tokyo, No. 338" on the left rear lens assembly, and "10X80mm, 4", with the "4" representing degrees, and Japanese letters on the right lens assembly. An aluminum plate is mounted on the top center with information which could be translated. Rear lens are adjustable for focus which function, with a ranging grid in the right eyepiece, and both have a built in orange filter. Front lens are slightly cloudy. 1 of 2 objective lens covers are attached. Rubber eyepieces are dry with cracks, but mostly supple. Zeiss style tripod is included. Wooden legs retain 70-75% of their original dark green paint, and each leg is connected to the others by a chain which enables proper spread width and provides 33" in height. Center column consisting of two telescoping pieces, which appear to be aluminum, and extends the height by 34". Very uncommon to find the binoculars and tripod with their original era paint.
