A very fine example of a Custom Deluxe Mark V rifle is built with a crowned 24" blued steel barrel. The Mark V Custom Deluxe being one of Weatherby's best grade rifles and are available on a custom order basis only. The tapered barrel is manufactured without sights and the rifle has standard barrel and receiver markings. Serial number is "H200004" which is stamped on right side of chamber. Left side of barrel is marked "USE ONLY WEATHERBY 7mm W.M." near chamber. Left side of receiver reads "MARK V U.S. PATENT NO. 3.013.355" "WEATHERBY" "SOUTH GATE CALIF.","MADE IN JAPAN". Followed by 3 arrows pointing towards muzzle. The rifle is equipped with a Weatherby 3-9x44 Supreme scope with scope rings and a Buehler mount. The bolt body is jeweled, fluted and has a 2 panel checkered bolt handle. The trigger is serrated. Side safe lever on shroud above bolt handle is serrated. The hinged floor plate is adorned with a floral motif and "WEATHERBY CUSTOM" is in a banner. The nicely figured high gloss pistol grip stock with skip line checkering, fluer de lis accent and grip cap with diamond pattern insert. The stock is further enhanced with a Monte Carlo comb cheekpiece, rosewood forearm tip which also has skip line checkering. The high comb stock also features sling swivel studs and a vented Weatherby recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent. The rifle retains 99% original blue finish and clean bright bore. Action is smooth. The stock and forend are very good with a slight surface handling of storage marks. Scope is excellent with clear optics. CP
