Arched breechblock marked "1869 / (Eagle head) / U.S." and 1863 dated lock plate marked with federal eagle and "U.S. SPRINGFIELD". Full length walnut stock mounted with 2 iron bands, 2 piece trigger guard, and "US/D/26" marked butt plate. Stock marked with 4 script cartouches. CONDITION: Very good. Clean metal components with a light grey patina. Stock good with numerous impressions. Good bore with strong rifling. Fine mechanics. Serial numbers on barrel and receiver matching. BAS
