Standard 30" blued barrel chambered for .30-40 Army with proper tangent rear sight and blade front. Barrel retained by 2nd variation open top band to the 2-piece full length walnut stock. Stock marked with script "JLA/1895" cartouche and circle "P" proof. Receiver marked "1894. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. 6159". Complete with 2nd variation 1 piece cleaning rod, Rock Island Arsenal marked leather sling, and 1895 dated bayonet with scabbard. CONDITION: Very good. Traces of original finish are retained in protected areas with balance thinned to a mottled brown/gray patina. Stock good with scattered impressions. Good rifling. Fine mechanics. Sling still supple with some cracking and scuffs. Bayonet very good. BAS
