Standard configuration with 30" barrel chambered for .30-40 Army. Upgraded Model 1902 rear sight and blade front. Full length walnut stock with 2 iron bands and a trap butt plate, which still retains its tools. No stock cartouche visible by a faint circle "P" proof visible at the wrist. Receiver marked "MODEL 1896. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. 60546". Rifle accompanied by a canvas tropical sling. CONDITION: Very good. Retains significant portions of its thinning original blued finish, with areas of brown patina showing through in addition to some silvering on high edges. Stock sanded with finish added. Good bore with strong rifling. Fine mechanics. BAS
