Springfield Model 1899 Krag Carbine made at Springfield Armory from 1899 to 1902. Blued round rifled carbine length barrel with integral front sight with pinned blade and rear "C" marked Model 1896 sight graduated to 2000 yards. Blued action with Model 1899 marking with straight handled bolt with knurled small cocking knob and no sling bar. Walnut finger groove stock with blued hardware and front band held on with spring. Stock marked with "JSA" over "1899" cartouche. Walnut correct high hump hand guard. CONDITION: 80% remaining blue with wear on edges. Action blue fading to a silvery patina. Wood has nice aged look with small dings and handling marks with visible cartouche. Good bore and mechanics. A nice clean Krag Carbine. DLM
