Springfield Model 1922 bolt action magazine fed .22 caliber rimfire rifle built at Springfield Armory between 1922 and 1924 with approximately 2000 made. This one is serial numbered "284". Blued round rifled barrel with oversized front 1903 style sight and barrel marked with "SA", Flaming Bomb, and dated "5-22". Blued action with polished unmarked bolt, Lyman 48B receiver sight, and 5 shot protruding magazine. Action marked with 6 line marking "U.S. Springfield Armory Model of 1922 Cal 22 284" Walnut "N.R.A." style stock with correct blued hardware including a N.R.A. style checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: 90% original blue with slight edge wear on exposed carry areas. Stock has dark hand rubbed finish with 90% remaining with some light surface marks and dings. Excellent bore and mechanics. A hard to find rifle. DLM
