Savage Model 69R slide action combat shotgun made for the commercial market in the late 1960s and 1970s by Savage Arms Company, Westfield, Massachusetts. Generally used by Police Departments (this one is marked "FPD 891" for a possible Police rack number). Smoothbore parkerized barrel with combat style bayonet lug and 4 hole heat shield. Parkerized frame with red painted push button safety. Hardwood pistol grip plain painted stock with rubber recoil pad. Hardwood corrugated painted forearm. Comes with military style leather sling. CONDITION: 70% fading original parkerized finish with usage marks and dings with rack or police number etched on left side. Wood has finish wear with dings and marks from use. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
