Lot consists of (A) Smith & Wesson No.1 Third Issue single action revolver with wood case. Made 1868-1881. Company name and address are partially visible on the barrel rib. Matching serials on the butt and cylinder. Round steel barrel with full rib. Small blade front sight with U-notch rear. Gun was cleaned and polished before being scroll engraved. A light gold plate style finish has been added. Blued trigger and spurred hammer. Period pearl grips. Includes a blue velvet lined wood case with clearing rod and wood cartridge tray. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its finish with general wear and handling marks. Grips have a few handling marks. Bore is frosted with some pitting. Good overall rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Mechanically fine. Case has exterior handling marks, very good overall. (B) Kolb Model 1916 double action revolver. Made circa 1920s. Top of the frame is marked "PATS APPL. 510/BABY HAMMERLESS/MODEL 1916". 6 shot fluted cylinder. Folding trigger. Half moon front sight. Nickel finish. Period pearl grips. Includes original red fiberboard box with correct end tab. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its reapplied finish with light wear and handling marks. Grips are excellent with light wear. Frosted bore with very good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Box is fair with heavy edge wear and deterioration. JWA
