LP-42 26.5mm flare pistol manufactured by C. u. W. Meinel-Scholer in Klingelthal, Germany. Flare pistol is comprised of stamped steel construction and is mounted with 2 piece bakelite grips. Left side bears the serial number followed by the C. u. W. Meinel-Scholer manufacturer code "euh". Eagle over "WaA300" is also present on the left side of the frame near the breech. Flare pistol is accompanied by 2 round bakelite flare transit cases, and leather holster, which contains 6 fired flare rounds and one unfired round, all of which are post-War. Top of 1 flare transit carriers retains its label and is dated September of 1941, other carrier's label is partially worn away and entirely illegible. CONDITION: Metal components show some wear as well as age related discoloration all around. Bore is bright, showing what appears to be a few minor areas of oxidation. Bakelite grips show some minor nicks and impressions. Holster shows some areas of wear and retains good stitching. Some flare labels are partially illegible in some areas due to wear. Flare carriers show some nicks and markings but are otherwise fine. -MLW-
