Kentucky-style rifle with traits similar to rifles made in Virginia with large 4-piece engraved brass patchbox with 4-petal flower finial. 48" rifled .52 caliber octagonal barrel with illegible initials, rifle sights, and engraving near front sight. Full curly maple stock with butt measuring 5" across at its widest. Stock has very nicely done engraved wear plate with brass hardware. Rifle has 11 silver inlays with Hunter's Star on the cheekpiece. Comes with original hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Gun has been restored with lock reconverted to flint. Wood around tang has been repaired with some of the original repair work remaining, some forend restoration and inlays replaced.
