Kentucky-style rifle similar to rifle made in the James River Area of Virginia. 42 - 3/4" rifled octagon barrel with rifle sights. Flintlock with double set trigger control. Full curly maple stock with brass hardware including a 4-piece patchbox similar to designs used in the James River Area. Silver escutcheon plates with silver tang inlay and silver 4-pointed star on cheekpiece. Comes with hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Rifle has aged patina on barrel with lock being a reconversion to flint. Wood has burnout around lock. Wood has pleasing aged finish with brass showing a dark unpolished look. Good bore and mechanics. A nice looking rifle. DLM
