Entitled "BOWLES"S MORAL PICTURES/OR POOR RICHARD ILLUSTRATED. Being LESSONS for the YOUNG and the OLD INDUSTRY, TEMPERENCE, FRUGALITY, &c" across the top margin. Printed after the 1790 death of Benjamin Franklin, likely circa 1795/96, for Bowles and Carver, No. 69 St. Paul's Church Yard, London. It features 29 colored vignettes illustrating moralist maxims from Franklin's famous "Poor Richards Almanac" and 1 commemorating Franklin himself. Framed in an older wood frame with matting. View 23" x 18 - 1/2". Overall 30" x 24 - 1/2". CONDITION: Good with colors still strong. Some damage at top with staining and small losses. Text filled in on backing with pen in 2 spots of loss. Frame has some dings and bubbling of finish. BAS
