Lot consists of: (A) USMC 1922 Pattern Service Cap with white cover and correct wicker frame that allowed Marines to replace blue or khaki covers. This example has a 1916 pattern EGA as it was not uncommon for Marines to wear outdated EGAs on their hats. There is a faint ID inside the hat that appears to read "L.A. Bessiell, SR.". CONDITION: Hat displays significant color fading and slight staining. Chinstrap has one broken area. Stitching is tight. Overall good. (B) USMC pattern 1922 Service Cap with white cover and wicker frame marked "Styled by Snyder's". CONDITION: Hat exhibits color fading and staining. Brim displays scratches, stitching is tight. Overall good. (C) USMC pattern 1922 Service Cap with white cover and metal frame marked "Frame Service cap Black" size 6 - 7/8, and named to D.L. Greene. CONDITION: Hat exhibits color fading and stains. Brim has blemishes, stitching is tight. Overall good. (D) USMC pattern 1922 Service Cap with white cover and wicker frame. This hat has a 1916 pattern EGA. There is a faint ID on the sweatband that appears to read "R.E. Alcott" CONDITION: Hat exhibits color fading and staining. Missing chinstrap, and 50% of the sweatband has become detached. overall fair. JD
