Blade marked variation with parkerized finish, stamped "US M3 IMPERIAL". 8 grooved grip, made entirely of stacked leather washers, steel guard, and pommel, the pommel marked with ordnance flaming bomb. Accompanied by original M6 scabbard marked "U.S. M6 / MOOSE CO. / 1943", and “B-9685” written on reverse. CONDITION: Handle in good condition; the blade with moderate sharpening, signs of use, and wear from the scabbard, some of parkerized finish remains. Scabbard well used but all intact. Imperial was the largest producer of M3 trench knives, making 854,000 of them for the war effort. Good authentic example of this classic World War II era knife and its early-period leather sheath, both of which are in high demand. MZ
