Excavated Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver serial number "102933" made in 1861 recovered in Orange County, Virginia according to consignor at unknown date. Orange County was the site of one of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War in May of 1864 known as the" Battle of The Wilderness". Octagon 7 - 1/2" barrel with 6 shot empty cylinder. Brass trigger guard with matching visible frame number. CONDITION: As found condition with pitting and stuck mechanics and broken mainspring with missing grips. DLM
