Manufactured 1943. Half moon front sight, U notch flattop rear sight with P in front of rear sight oriented to rear with muzzle up. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information with intercepting pony. Numbered 774085 under the firing pin retaining plate. Barrel with ".45 AUTO / 7791193 / 91" over chamber, "M" on right side of lug, "NP" on left side. Frame with GHD and P proofs in appropriate spots. Right side with appropriate markings and crossed cannon cartouche. Narrow bordered checkered hammer, checkered magazine release, checkered short stamped trigger, thick tab safety, long grip safety, arched knurled mainspring housing with lanyard loop, Keyes fiber grips. Magazine stamped "R" on lip for Risdon manufacture. CONDITION: Good as assembled, possibly armory assembled for World War II use. Numerous silvering marks to the parkerization are throughout, with the vast majority of parkerization still present. Safety with old now inactive oxidation. Grips have some softness from rubbing, particularly the left scale. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good as a later chrome lined milsurp barrel. EW
