Lot consists of (A) Springfield Model 1861 U.S. Percussion Rifled Musket made by J.T. Hodge and A.M. Burton in Trenton, New Jersey in 1863 and 1864 at the Trenton Locomotive and Machine Co. Round in-the-white finished rifled barrel with pinned front blade sight and rear adjustable sight with barrel having "S.N.J." at breech with "1863" date and "VP / Eagle" proof and "8" on tang. Percussion lock marked "1864" and "US/TRENTON". Walnut full military stock with iron hardware and steel ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with surface freckling. Cleaned wood with dings and marks. Dark bore with good mechanics. (B) Remington Model 1871 Rolling Block Rifled Musket built by Remington Arms Company circa the 1880s. Round rifled barrel with pinned front sight with military rear sight. Blued action with Remington Patents on the tang. Walnut full military stock with steel hardware and saber bayonet stud. Comes with iron sheathed brass handled saber bayonet. CONDITION: 90% remaining of a total refinish on metal. Wood has been cleaned with handling marks and replacement cleaning rod. Bayonet has silvery appearance with brass cleaned and is unsharpened. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
