Lot consists of (A) Pattern 1914 bolt action magazine rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company for use by the British in World War I. Dark finished round rifle unmarked barrel with military sights. Dark finished action with British proofs and "W" for Winchester in front of the serial number. Bolt matches serial number with no "W" marking and a "X" out number on the bottom of the bolt (probably an arsenal replacement). Walnut full military stock with base for volley sight and marked on end with serial numbers not matching gun. Comes with British woven light tan sling and oiler. CONDITION: 80% plus metal finish with wear and carry marks. Wood has been cleaned with handling dings and marks and plugged disc in stock. Good bore and mechanics. (B) No. 4 Mk1 Enfield made by Savage Arms Company for use in World War II. Blued round rifled barrel with correct military sights. Dark finished action marked "U.S. Property" and "S" for Savage and " No. 4 Mk1". Bolt is marked with "S". Hardwood full military stock with "FR" stamped in right side of butt. Steel hardware except for aluminum butt. Comes with sheathed spike bayonet and unmarked detachable magazine. CONDITION: Metal has faded to a gray patina especially in handled areas. Wood has been heavily cleaned with light scratches and dings. Good shootable bore and mechanics. DLM
