British Pattern 1853 Enfield rifled musket converted from percussion to cartridge with the use of the Snider conversion. Blued rifled barrel with pinned blade front sight and graduated rear sight. Snider conversion action using original "B.S.A. Co." lock dated 1871 with "Crown / VR" marking at rear. Walnut full musket stock with brass buttplate and triggerguard and nose cap with 3 blued barrel bands. Stock has round cartouche on right side with "Crown", "WD" and "Birmingham" inside with a "1" underneath. Comes with incorrect ramrod. CONDITION: Metal has faded to a plum brown color with light surface corrosion. Wood has traces of original finish with scratches and dings. Sharp cartouches. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
