Remington Model 40-X bolt action single shot target rifle manufactured by the Remington Custom Shop and introduced in 1964. This particular gun comes with Remington Custom Gun Shop paperwork showing a signed document by "T.J. Sullivan" (Craftsman at Remington) and targets shot by him. It also comes with documents and targets shot by others and the loads used by them. Rifle features a 28" stainless Remington target weight barrel in 6mm Remington. Blued action Remington 40-X bolt action with trigger having a 2# pull. Walnut plain marksman style stock with leather military style sling with Freeland brass sling clamp. Gun is mounted with 2" 12x crosshair Unertl Scope with steel caps and Posa bases. Very accurate rifle. CONDITION: Overall good with some light freckling and discoloration from storage. Excellent bore and mechanics with clear optics except slight dust particle inside at 7:00 o'clock. DLM
