Winchester Model 1895 Theodore Roosevelt Safari Centennial lever action rifle with Winchester brown felt lined hard case, factory box, and "AFRICAN GAME TRAILS" by Theodore Roosevelt. 24" round barrel chambered in .405 Winchester with rifle rear sight, blade front, and gold band near muzzle. Receiver nearly full coverage machine engraved with scrolls, gilded borders, and images of kudu, cape buffalo, jaguar, lion, lioness and a portrait of Theodore Roosevelt on left side with hippo, water buffalo, warthog, rhinos, and another portrait of Theodore Roosevelt on right side. 2 piece checkered walnut schnabel forearm and stock complete with blued steel shotgun buttplate. Imitation ivory medallion on right side of stock with "THEODORE ROOSEVELT" / "TR" / "1909-2009" / "SAFARI CENTENNIAL" inside of it. CONDITION: Excellent plus with virtually all of the original finishes remaining with the exception of scattered handling marks throughout. Stock and forearm are in matching condition with no major signs of distress. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Box is very good with wear at high edges. Case is excellent plus. TON
