Lot consists of (A) Deactivated British Lancaster MK1* sub machine gun. Magazine well is marked "LANCASTER/MKI*/SA M619/*28228A". Original barrel was plugged. Blade front sight with rear sight adjustable to 600 meters. Receiver tube is modern made. Bolt has been welded shut as well. Original oil finished wood stock with finger groove and brass trap door butt plate. Surplus Sten magazine. Includes an Indian made drill bayonet marked "MK3/RFI" and "DP62" on the ricasso. White strip painted on the handle. Brown painted leather scabbard. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with wear and patina. Blued receiver tube retains a fair amount of its applied finish. Stock has handling marks dents and scratches. Mechanically inoperable. Magazine has finish wear. Bayonet and scabbard have wear and patina. Blade is dull, having not been re-sharpened. (B) Deactivated Belgian Vigneron M2 sub machinegun. Dated "53" and marked "VIG M2/060579". Plugged round barrel with ported muzzle device. Stamped sheet metal front sight protector, with a blade front sight and u-notch rear. Dummy receiver tube. Collapsible wire stock with plastic pistol grip. Includes one original sheet metal magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with wear and handling marks. Furniture is worn as well. Mechanically inoperable. Magazine has finish wear. Great pair of deactivated guns for your wall! JWA
