Pennsylvania Railroad "Banshee" Whistle. Single chime, all brass, locomotive whistle from the Pennsylvania Railroad. These whistles were commonly used on the PRR's smaller switching and freight locomotive and had a distinctive high-pitched sound, earning them the nickname of "Banshees." Whistle is in "as removed" condition with a 3" diameter throat, and original PRR actuating valve, ball shutoff, lever and boiler mount. Beautiful patina.
