Early 3rd generation Colt Single Action Army revolver. Grade 'D' factory engraved in classic scrolls with 75-80% coverage. Blue with case hardened frame. 7 - 1/2" barrel. Chambered in .44 Special. 2-piece walnut grips. Grips are most likely replacements as they are not well fitted to the gun. Housed in a Colt leatherette Custom Shop case. Accompanying Colt Archival Letter dated May 23, 1979 and signed by M.S. Huber, documents configuration and factory engraving. Grips are not listed. Shipped on February 16, 1979 to Cherry's Sporting Goods, Genesco, Illinois with 2 guns of same type in the shipment. CONDITION: Near mint with 98+% original bright blue and case colors. Bore is bright and clean. As previously stated grips are not fitted well. Gun is most likely unfired. MKS
