Third generation Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number SA07842. Blue with case hardened frame. 7 - 1/2" barrel, chambered in .45 LC. 2 piece hard rubber grips. Factory engraved by Colt Master Engraver Howard Dove, in classic scroll work with punch dot backgrounds. Accompanying Colt Archival Letter dated July 20, 1983 and signed by M.S. Huber, Historian. Letter documents configuration and factory engraving. Letter further states this is the first Single Action Army revolver engraved by Mr. Dove for Colt firearms. Revolver was processed on factory order number 10723 and shipped to Aeromarine in Birmingham Alabama on May 4, 1983. Marked inside the grips on the right side of the backstrap butt: "Howard M. Dove Engr. 1st" Housed in a French Fitted wood case with green interior. CONDITION: Like new with most all the original factory applied finishes remaining. Outside of case has a few scratches, inside is clean. MKS
