Manufactured 1972 and in classic configuration with serrated slope front sight, square notch rear sight, and serrated small parts with left side only safety and arched mainspring housing. Blued small parts including bushing, recoil spring guide, hammer, safety, magazine release, slide release, grip safety, and mainspring housing. Factory engraved in approximately C class coverage of a reasonably well executed scroll with areas of stippled ground. No engraver's signature observed. Ajax faux ivory grips with golden medallions. Housed in Colt wood grain box with correct identifying information on side and "ENGRAVED" sticker with appropriate paperwork and spare magazine enclosed. CONDITION: Very good with a few small spots of oxidation, mostly visible on right side of slide. Trigger is slightly marred from installation of shoe at one point. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling. Box is very good to excellent with some rubbing at corners and peeling of label at bottom. EW
