3rd. Generation Colt Custom Shop Single Action Army, "Engraving Sampler" serial number SA67381. Blue with case hardened frame. 4 - 3/4" barrel. Chambered in .44-40 WCF. Barrel marked "Colt Frontier Six Shooter". Revolver features 4 classic styles of hand engraving in the tradition of Henshaw, Nimschke, Helfricht, and contemporary patterns. 2 piece ivory grips with Colt 150 anniversary medallions. Grips are scrimshawed with names of engraving masters. Backstrap engraved with Rampant Colt and marked in script "Colt Engraving Sampler". Accompanying Colt Archival Letter dated February 1998, signed by Kathleen Hoyt documents configuration and engraving. Letter further documents this revolver is 1 of only 16 built in this particular configuration. Engraving is the work Colt Master Engraver George Spring. Complete with correct "Colt Custom Shop" marked box and paperwork. CONDITION: Like new with virtually all the bright original factory blue and case colors remaining. MKS
