Lot consists of (A) Savage Model 99E lever action rifle. Made 1968. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and flip up u-notch, buckhorn style rear. Metal has been completely refinished at some point. Receiver has been drilled for a scope mount. Wood butt stock and forearm with checkering on the wrist and forearm. Both have been refinished. Sling studs and rubber butt pad have been added as well. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its reapplied blued finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Wood is excellent with a few scratches. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Lever is loose, and occasionally will not catch the hammer when cocked. May need minor adjustment. (B) Savage 99F lever action rifle with scope. Made 1964. Barrel marked "SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION/CHICOPEE FALLS. MASS. U.S.A." on the top and "HI-PRESSURE STEEL-PROOF TESTED". "SP" in an oval proofed on the chamber. Blade front sight with buckhorn style rear leaf. Factory blued finish on the metal components, with a case colored lever. Tang safety. Oil finished wood stock with checkering on the wrist and forearm. Capped pistol grip with added rubber butt pad. Includes attached Leupold M8 4x scope, in Leupold mounts. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. there are some scratches on the left side of the receiver. Wood has a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean overall with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Scope is excellent, with a crisp optic. JWA
