Black on black sights with both sides of slide engraved with a facsimile of Gustave Young's distinct scroll engraving, accented with silver plate. Government model marking removed to dust cover to allow maximum engravable area. Polished hammer, magazine release, and bushing. Serrated slide release, safety, narrow hammer, and short trigger. Longer 1911A1 grip safety. Arched serrated mainspring housing. Grips are incised with further Young style scroll. Housed in correct Colt blue box with end label identifying this gun by serial number and containing appropriate Talo card, spare set of truncated diamond grips and Colt paperwork. CONDITION: Excellent, with some very minor marks from handling and storage. Silver has some minor tarnishing and polished parts have some oil discoloration that could be cleaned by new owner. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with strong rifling. Breech face is very clean; it is very possible that this gun is test fired only. Case is fine. EW
