A rare Tiffany Studios patinated cast bronze and glass “Turtleback Tile” table lamp base, decorated with a belt of highly iridescent turtleback tiles leaded within the base creating a belt, and retains its original interior single socket electrification. The base is finished in its original rich red brown patina and has three GeCo paddle sockets and pull chain socket on the interior. The base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 6882”. C. 1905. The base is in excellent condition. The beautiful turtleback tiles are highly iridescent, with no breaks or cracks. One tile shows a small diagonal line, which is an impression from the original mold, and not a crack or scratch. The bronze is free of any dents or cracks. The patina is well preserved with minimal loss. A small disturbance to the patina near the top of the riser. Internal socket is functional, as are the three sockets in the cluster. No wheel present.
