An extremely rare American Art Nouveau counterbalance table lamp by Tiffany Studios, decorated with a Tiffany Studios Favrile heavily iridescent blue damascene pattern shade, atop a tall patinated and cast bronze Tiffany Studios bronze artichoke base, finished with a belted turtleback tile counterweight. The shade is signed “L.C.Tiffany Favrile”, and the base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 10923/D414”. The damascene shade is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. Both the lower rim and fitter edge are free of any chips or flea bites. The base is in excellent condition, with no breaks, dents, or deformities to the bronze. The patina is very well preserved. On one turtleback tile there is a crack, with a small piece of the tile that appears to have flaked off.
