Auto Ordnance Thompson Model 1927A1 semi automatic pistol with case. Made as a semi automatic clone of the famous sub machine gun. Left side of the receiver is marked "THOMPSON SEMI-AUTOMATIC CARBINE/CALIBER .45 AUTOMATIC CARTRIDGE". Right side of the receiver is marked "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORTAION/WORCHESTER, MASSACHUSETTS, U.S.A.", with the original patent numbers listed. Round steel barrel with cooling fins. Large blade front sight with the rear iron sight removed. Matte blued finish on the metal components. Walnut pistol grip and forearm with finger groove. A previous user has attached a LaserMax laser/four block rail on the barrel, between where the forearm ends and front sight starts. A Burris Fast Fire holographic sight was also installed where the rear sight was. Includes a "Type L" style 50 round metal drum magazine and a factory hard plastic case. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Wood has a few dings and scratches. There is a remant sticker on the right side of the grip. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically operable, but the drum sticks in the gun. It requires excessive forced to be removed. Will need some fitting to work properly. Magazine is excellent. Front laser does not work. Fast Fire sight does not work, may need a battery. Case is very good, half the foam on the bottom is missing though. JWA
