Commercial version of the M25 "White Feather" sniper rifle, which was based on an accurized M1A rifle. Development for the rifle came from a desire amongst military forces for more rapid follow up shots from a precision weapon system, particularly 10th Special Forces and SEALS. The rifle was affectionately named after the white feather that legendary USMC sniper Carlos Hathcock put in his hat during Viet Nam to taunt Viet Cong troops looking to collect the bounty on his head. Appropriate facsimile of Hathcock's signature and White feather logo. Standard configuration with compensator, picatinny rail, bedded stock, and adjustable cheekpiece. Accompanied by "Carlos Hathcock White Feather: USMC Scout Sniper" by Chandler, still sealed. CONDITION: Excellent, showing some light marks from handling and storage. Rail shows no signs of having an optic mounted to it, possibly unfired. Extra stock spacers have been added to increase length of pull. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with sharp rifling. Book is sealed and as new. EW
