Bead front sight, smooth slide handle and stock. Appropriate 2 block "J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY / DIVISION OF SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION / CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS, U.S.A." and "PROOF TESTED - 12 GAUGE / - 2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER -". Mohawk's recoil pad. Frame has engraving of pheasants on both sides, uncommon. Barrel shank has "P / (Ordnance Bomb?)" and a "P" on top of frame near serrations. What may be remnants of a rack number is visible on right side of stock. CONDITION: Blue is essentially a smooth chocolate brown throughout, with some silveirng at reciprocating aras. Wood has numerous bumps and bruises commensurate with use but is solid. Some minor cracks are on the front of the pistol grip where wood meets receiver that are stable. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good, smooth and bright. EW
