Standard configuration P.38 manufactured by Spreewerke during World War II. Left side of receiver is marked "P.38" followed by "cyq" and the serial number. Right side bears 2 eagles over "88" acceptance proofs surrounding an eagle firing proof. Eagle over "88" acceptance proof is also present on the left side of the frame and left side of the barrel lug. Matching numbers include the frame, receiver, and barrel. Locking block is mismatched, but is within the same letter block. CONDITION: Metal components retain most of their reapplied blue finish, showing areas of wear and thinning all around, with several areas of cleaned oxidation. Bore is bright, showing some areas of light oxidation and retaining good rifling throughout. Bakelite grips show few minor handling marks. MLW
