Standard configuration P.38 pistol manufactured by Walther in 1945. Metal components retain a dull salt blue finish, with the exception of a some small components which are in the white. Left side of receiver is marked "P.38" followed by the serial number (with no letter block) and "ac 45". Right side bears 2 eagles over "359" waffenamts. Left side of frame and barrel lug also bear eagle over "359" waffenamts. Frame, receiver, and barrel are matching. Locking block appears to have been force matched at some point in time. Complete with a "bml/44" (Hans Romer) marked black leather pebble grain P.38 holster and 2 eagles over "88" marked Spreewerke magazines. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful of their original salt blue finish, showing few minor areas of wear that show through to light silvering. Markings are sharp, with the exception of some light stampings. Mirror bore with well defined rifling throughout. Brown bakelite grips show a few handling marks and minor nicks, but are otherwise fine. Holster is very good, showing a few minor areas of wear and retaining good stitching throughout. Rear belt straps show some heavier wear, but are strong and serviceable. A nice, high condition example of a 1945 production Walther P.38 pistol. MLW
