DWM 1920 Commercial Luger manufactured circa. 1920s from refurbished military P.08 Lugers. Major metal components are rust blued with some smaller components being strawed. Left side of receiver and breechblock bear crown over "N" nitro proofs. Toggle bears the "DWM" monogram. Front of frame is marked "GERMANY" with a "MADE IN GERMANY" stamp present on the bottom of the barrel. Frame, locking bolt, trigger, sideplate, and rear toggle link are matching. Other components are mismatched or unmarked. Barrel is a replacement. Complete with a later 1941 dated "jvf" (W. Brand, Heidelberg) leather holster containing a "3.9." marked loading tool and later post-War production magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning, showing through to gray patina as well as some scattered areas of light surface oxidation. Strawed components retain traces of their finish. Mirror bore retains well defined lands and grooves throughout. Walnut grips show some smoothing and a few scattered impressions. Holster is good, showing some scattered handling marks and a few areas of crazing. MLW
