Aftermarket assembled Model 1920 Luger manufactured as a fantasy piece. Chamber is blank and toggle has been scrubbed, retaining a barely discernable portion of its intertwined "DWM" monogram. Left side of frame is nicely engraved " . GERMANY . ". Right side of receiver bears faint DWM arsenal proofs. Later added "(Crown)/N" proofs are present on the frame, barrel, receiver, and breechblock. "(Crown)/N" proof on front has been partially scrubbed with the rear toggle proof being partially ground. Matching numbers are present on the frame, stock iron, sideplate, trigger, safety lever and bar, barrel, receiver, trigger bar, grips, and forend screw in the military fashion, with the majority of numbers likely being force matched at the time of conversion. Barrel is fitted with an 11 - 1/2" barrel featuring a ramp front sight and an LP.08 pattern rear sight. Rear toggle sight has been ground off. Trigger has been blued. Frame is fitted with a handmade checkered wood forend. Receiver axle pin and forend are poorly fit. Complete with a green leatherette case featuring a stapled green velvet lining. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear, pitting beneath the finish, as well as some spots of surface oxidation. Strawed components have been reheated and retain the vast majority of their finish. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Forend shows some scattered handling marks and impressions, with a crack at the rear on the left side. Grips show some smoothing, as well as a few impressions and scattered nicks to the diamonds. Case shows external wear overall, with some tears and separation of the exterior covering to at the corners and edges. Case latches are not present. A unique custom fantasy piece converted from a former World War I P.08 Luger. MLW
