Standard configuration P.08 semi-automatic pistol manufactured at the Royal Arsenal Erfurt in 1914. Top of receiver is stamped "1914", with arsenal proofs on the right-hand side. Toggle is stamped with a crown over "ERFURT". Imperial German Reichsadler is present on the right side of the receiver, right side of the barrel, as well as on the left side of the breechblock. Bottom of frame is Simpson LTD. import marked. All numbers are matching with the exception of the magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their arsenal reapplied finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to a pleasant brown patina, as well as a few small areas of oxidation that are present on the grip straps. Bore is bright and exhibits well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing as well as a few minor nicks to the diamonds but are otherwise fine. A nice example of a pre-World War I manufactured P.08 Luger. MLW
