Winchester 1st Model 1873 saddle ring carbine built by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1875. Blued round rifled carbine length barrel with band blade front sight and early style rear roller sight. Blued receiver with saddle ring and early thumbprint dust cover with full blue tubular magazine. Walnut carbine style plain butt with steel trapdoor for cleaning rod. Walnut plain forearm. CONDITION: Gun has seen extremely hard use with blue worn to a silvery corroded appearance with wood worn to a dry cracked appearance with several large stable cracks in buttstock. Gun is solid and functions fine with dark pitted but shootable bore. DLM
