Winchester 3rd Model 1873 Carbine lever action made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1886. Round carbine style rifled barrel with integral pinned blade front sight and graduated flip rear sight. Blued 3rd model frame with plain trigger and no saddle ring. Walnut carbine style stock with "folksy" floral carving and walnut forearm. CONDITION: Overall metal has turned a brown patina with missing tang screw and some light surface corrosion. Wood has added carving and has an oil soaked appearance. Gun cycles by hand with dark pitted bore. DLM
