Percussion half stock Kentucky-style bench rifle made by Charles Siebert of Columbus, Ohio circa 1850. Heavy octagon barrel measuring 1 - 1/4" across flats with 6-groove rifling and muzzle turned for a bullet starter. Hooded front sight with adjustable rear notch sight and gunsmith made standing tang sight. Curly maple stock with brass hardware. Percussion back action lock with double set triggers. CONDITION: Overall good condition with metal fading to a plum patina. Wood has traces of original finish with cracks in front of lock and above lock. Brass is corroded and is untouched. Dark shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
