Lot consists of (A) Colt Second Generation 1851 Navy. 7 - 1/2" octagon barrel in .36 caliber with cone front sight and hammer notch rear with single line Colt New York address. 2 piece hardwood grips. Complete with factory box. Interestingly enough, this 1851 Navy comes with an 1860 Army factory manual; this was a factory correction due to there being a shortage of factory manuals at the Colt factory during the period that this gun was made. Colt included a letter explaining this as well as giving the correct load data for the .36 caliber 1851 Navy rather than the .44 caliber 1860 Army. CONDITION: Excellent plus, with virtually all of the original finishes remaining. Cylinder scene is crisp and easily visible with no visible dragline. Grips are in matching condition with no visible signs of major distress. Bore is bright with crisp rifling. Box is complete with high edge wear. (B) Colt Second Generation 1862 Pocket Navy. 5 - 1/2" octagonal barrel with cone front sight in .36 caliber with cone front sight and hammer notch rear with single line Colt New York address. 2 piece hardwood grips. Complete with factory box. CONDITION: Excellent plus, with virtually all of the original finishes remaining. Cylinder scene is crisp and easily visible with no visible dragline. Grips are in matching condition with no signs of major distress. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Box is complete with high edge wear. TON
