1896 vintage Winchester Model 1895 "Flatside" rifle, serial number 2648. 26" round barrel, chambered in .38-72 WCF cartridge. Standard sights. Blue finish. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm with ebony tip. Rifle style crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very good with a cleaned grey/brown patina overall. Traces of original blue on the frame and magazine box. Wood is sound showing moderate wear with an added coat of varnish. Action is tight. Bore is turning dark. MKS
