Lot consists of (A) Smith & Wesson Model 686 Captain Dan Combs Commemorative double action revolver with case. Made circa 1986. Left side of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON/.357 MAGNUM", while the right side is marked "CAPTAIN DAN COMBS COMMEMORATIVE". Right side of the frame has the company address, in addition to the Oklahoma State police badge laser engraved. Left side of the frame is marked with the Smith & Wesson monogram logo. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round, stainless steel barrel with ramped blade front sight and adjustable u-notch rear. Stainless steel frame as well. Smooth face trigger with a knurled spurred hammer. Factory lacquered smooth finish wood target grips with gold medallions. Includes original blue serial matching box with papers and tools inside. Also included is the factory wood display case with blue velvet lined interior. Case is sealed in plastic. CONDITION: Metal retains 97% or more of its original finish with some light scratches. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Looks to be unfired post factory. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically excellent. Box and display case are excellent.
