Lot consists of (A) Whitney 2nd Model Pocket percussion revolver. 6" octagonal barrel in .31 caliber with cone front sight and frame notch rear. 2 piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good, with nearly all of the original finishes turned a cleaned gray patina with light age related pitting throughout. Grips are excellent with areas of finish loss near butt but are strong with no signs of major distress. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand and is tight. Bore is frosted with modest abrasion toward muzzle and crisp rifling. (B) Whitney 2nd Model Pocket percussion revolver. 3 - 1/2" octagon barrel in .31 caliber with cone front sight and frame notch rear. 2 piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned to a brown-gray patina with pitting and handling marks throughout. Heavy handling marks on cylinder. Grips are very good with scattered handling marks throughout. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand. Bore is dark with abrasion throughout. TON
