Approximately 600 brass frame Whitney Two Trigger Pocket percussion revolvers were manufactured circa 1852 to 1854. In order to avoid Colt's patents the cylinder does not automatically advance, instead this revolver is fitted with a second trigger ahead of the trigger guard which releases the cylinder so that it can be manually turned. Other standard features include a .32 caliber 4" octagonal barrel with "E. WHITNEY N. HAVEN CT." barrel address, brass pin front sight, etched 5-shot percussion cylinder, brass frame, iron trigger guard, and 2-piece smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Good. Blued components exhibit an overall silver/gray patina with scattered marks. Brass frame has a pleasing mellow patina. Grips good with minor impressions throughout. Poor bore with visible rifling and pitting. Good mechanics. BAS
