Single shot .25 caliber knife pistol, manufactured by Unwin & Rodgers as a defensive knife/pistol with two blades. One blade is a clip point with false edge back, other blade is a spearpoint also with a false edge back. Blades a separated by a folding trigger mechanism. Simple cock that deploys trigger when pulled the the rear, primitive rear sight mounted to manual extractor, diminutive mushroom tip front sight. Blades are marked at ricasso "V (crown) R / UNWIN & / RODGERS / PATENT". Right side of barrel with "NON XLL", left side with "UNWIN & RODGERS / PATENTEES. SHEFFIELD" and Birmingham proofs on offset flat. German silver barrel, bolsters, pins, and frame. Frame is hollow for storage and mounted with two horn scales, checkered at rear, and reinforced with brass under horn. CONDITION: Good. Blades have been lightly cleaned in the European fashion that left some spotted oxidation throughout and lightly softened legends, which are still legible. German silver is good with some scratches and dings throughout from use and storage. "NON-XLL" legend somewhat softened. Horn is very good with some very minor chips and handling marks. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is good but dark throughout. EW
